A Letter written to KFI radio station

December 5, 2004

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Todd Duenas, and a long time listener to your radio show here in Los Angeles KFI-640. Your radio shows always have very interesting guests talking about the special fields that they are in which are of high interest to your listeners. I like to introduce a native brother whose message would interest all your listeners. His name is Bennie E. LeBeau, Sr., from a native tribe in Eastern Shoshone located at Wind River Indian Reservation Ft. Washakie, Wyoming. At this present moment he is in Los Angeles doing some healing work for Mother Earth as he had received numerous messages on how Mother Earth is hurting and suffering due to results of mankind’s actions. Mother Earth is not functioning and blossoming due to the severe lack of rain and water and this is affecting all living animals and humans. Bennie LeBeau recently received a message instigating a healing process for Mother Earth.

A sacred ceremony headed by Bennie LeBeau was held on November 15th, 2004 at Big Bear Lake which is the center of the Medicine Wheel. This Medicine Wheel have eight spokes which created eight sacred sites approximately 215 miles from Big Bear Lake, the center of the hub. At dawn the sacred ceremonies were performed simultaneously at the hub and the eight sacred sites at sunrise with offerings, singing of sacred prayers, dancing and drumming by many people of all cultures. I was one of them located at the Mt. Wilson sacred site.

The following quotes are taken from the Native Voices Foundation reported by Olympic skier, Suzy Chaffee who is the co-founder of the Foundation. “I like to thank the tribes if they are responsible for this early fluke snow storm that dumped two to four feet in the San Bernardino Mountains, and put them on our staff,” announced Fritz Coleman, KNBC LA’s weatherman. “I make a few calls and found the tribes were at the bottom of it.”  Bennie LeBeau, the ceremonial leader was honored at the recent Ski Dazzle Expo which was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
