| Each sacred site on the Big Bear Medicine Wheel takes at least half a day to one day to locate and prepare the holy grounds in ceremony. We received a message from Valerie Eagleheart and Frank Haggard Jr. [to hold a] medicine wheel ceremony in Mecca Valley. We were invited to attend this gathering and helped in setting the medicine wheel into motion with prayer for healing in our minds body and spirit. We knew in our hearts we would be joined in the sacred circle reconnecting with our brothers and sisters in that spiritual moment coming together in the Yucca Valley. The Rainbow Warrior Prophecy now become so more important as our hearts become one on behalf of Mother Earth.
Three vehicles arrived in the Mecca Hills, as we approached this area we all knew instinctively as we all saw the scared site of the southeastern gate of the Big Bear Medicine Wheel. It sat right in the middle of the ancient ones in the rocks. Within them we saw a stairway had been carved into the face of an outcropping in the rock, the pathway to the holy ones, the rainbow bridge. Where the fault line was in the Mecca Hills we begin our ceremony for the concerns and the love we all share for Mother Earth and her creations. The chief was within the rocks standing tall, proud and handsome, just as the creator had intended him to be. The rocks had been waiting for us to arrive upon this magnificent site to behold. We had so much joy in our hearts in number we were the magnificent seven, five women two men. The sacred stones were offered and set into motion within the medicine wheel spoke.
We began our vibrations with drum, song and as the eagle whistle screeched in the Mecca Hills around the Salton Sea. We sang and danced to the heartbeat of our sweet Mother Earth thru the drums heartbeat. As we danced we saw many colors come in, the color yellow was everywhere. The healing colors of the Mother Earth’s Grandmothers are green and blue and were with us. The pink color of compassion came forward. The yellow color appeared upon my chest, my mustache was yellow, including my head. The Hawk flying above us had a circle of yellow surrounding it extending out about six feet. The rocks were covered in yellow. I truly believe our ancient grandmothers and grandfathers were with us. You see Mother Earth and the grandmother’s love the yellow roses at the tree of peace. We the Shoshone Nations are the people of the ROSE as are other Nations also. The many different business in Big Bear Lake community are associated with the Rose.
We as Sundancers went back into a thought form as being in the Sundance Lodge. We were dancing for love of our real Father within the sun and our Mother Earth. The sun had a rainbow shooting out in all directions. Without our Father sun, Mother Earth’s Wind, Fire and Water we surely would have no life here. The hawk, chipmunk, raven stood watch as the tree’s, plant’s, and other medicine plants were one with us as we danced. The holy ones sang and danced with us. We were truly blessed. Our Grandfather rocks asked us to heal them with hugs and our hands as the golden white light radiated within us. With harmony this sacred site on Mecca Hills and the Salton Sea of the Big Bear Medicine Wheel of the Southwestern spoke was activated.
On Nov. 1st, 2004 we knew we had touched creation with our love. Father and Mother returned the love to all of us. We thank all of those involve in setting the prayers in the Mecca Hills surrounding the Salton Sea. Blessings to all creation related to one another in oneness.
