Big Bear Medicine Wheel
(A Gift To my brother, Blue Thunder)

Morning Star gives way
Grandfather Sun awakes
Life stirs into motion
Disharmony invades a sacred land
Two leggeds spew vibrations upon Wind Spirits
Wilting all in their path
Beauty is unseen, unspoken
Peace is without its lodge
Quietly singing her death song
Earth Mother cries with her pain
"Ayv Ayohusgv"
"I am dying"
"Osda Nvwoti Ayv Uduladi"
"Good medicine I need"
Great Eagle listens
And returns with Blue Thunder
A voice for Earth Mother
A voice for our relations
A voice for harmony and balance
A voice many wish not to hear
From mountain peaks his prayers ascend
Drawing many voices into one
Creating a sacred circle
For those knowing we are all related
Winter Solstice arrives from eastern powers
Relations gather
Drums pound
Love gives birth to peace
White Bear
Blue Thunder
Together in council
And Earth Mother breathes
Her pain now lessened
She calls to seven directions
In seven days Cloud People gather
Their tears fall as rain
Earth has spoken
Blue Thunder has spoken
White Bear has spoken
And those of peace listen
Greedy two-leggeds
You are the destroyers
Poisoning our Earth Mother
And even your own children
Of Earth Ways you are ignorant
Seekers of gold
Not peace
You will inherit your demise
For those who listen
For Blue Thunder who speaks
For Earth who is our Mother
May peace inhabit your lodge
Great Spirit
Please hear us calling to You
Teach us Earth ways
That we may honor You and Your creation
May peace be our path
May honor light our days
May harmony be our song
May balance be our direction
