Spirit orchestrated me to help bring an awesome earth wisdom keeper, teacher, and ceremonial leader (Bennie LeBeau aka Blue Thunder) to Spokane. He came to prepare the people and this land for healing of Mother Earth and participation in the simultaneous Western states May earth ceremony. I first talked with Bennie on the phone months earlier. During a meditation that evening, I saw a dolphin jumping into the air in front of me. The next day I checked out Bennie's website and saw the same dolphin as representing the sacred sites that were going to be activated for earth healing on May 13th and 14th, 2006. I knew that this was a 'sign' from Spirit that I needed to help bring Bennie to Spokane. I needed to find a location for the local ceremony and asked Spirit to direct me to the proper area. When I went to the Painted Rocks Petroglyph natural area, Spirit said that this was the place. I thought it very appropriate that this site called to me, as Bennie has worked with other petroglyph sites around the West. When he arrived in town, I took him to the site and he did a ceremony to connect with the land. He saw a wolf spirit come and then change into a Native spirit at the petroglyph rock area. He also asked the Spirits to provide nice weather for the ceremony that was to be done in two days. I heard the Spirit of the land say that it was happy we were going to be doing ceremony there. On March 25th Bennie taught about helping to create peace and harmony among all peoples, the significance of sacred sites, and understanding indigenous prophecies, earth wisdoms and sacred geometry. The depth of Bennie's wisdom is phenomenal, and I would say that he is one of the most genuine, 'come from the heart', spiritual teachers I have met. It was such a privilege and honor to be in his peaceful presence and listen to his vast wisdom. That day, a friend from Montana also shared his wisdom about a big 'Mother Drum' that the Spirits had directed him how to build, and the group got to experience the wonderful energies of that drum. The next day, the group met at the petroglyph site. Bennie explained the proper protocols of how to ask permission to enter the sacred site, and smudged every person so that they were came into that area with a cleansed energetic field. The site was in a clearing surrounded on three sides by beautiful high rock cliffs and ponderosa pines, with one side open to a grassy meadow. My guidance told me to set facing the sun. As Bennie began setting up his crystals and other sacred objects in a circle, I connected with the energy of the sun and the Spirits of the land around me in a very powerful way. I felt the Spirit of the land welcome me and the group, and saw and heard numerous Native American spirits as they surrounded the group. A female elk appeared and stood behind me and talked with me. The night before, I had a dream with her in it. A mountain lion also appeared and stood between me and my friend setting next to me. My energy field changed and I became 'one' with the air and I seemed to extend into the whole area between the rocks and the meadow. I was not my body anymore, but an expanse of energy that was present in everything around me. The Spirits were giving me messages of thankfulness for the group doing ceremony there and honoring the land. After a while I become semi-present in my body again and looked over at my friend. I saw that she was 'talking' with the Spirits and looking in the same direction that I saw the Native Spirits come from. She later confirmed that she was communicating with those Native Spirits. While planning this event, I was intuitively guided to invite a pipe carrier from Montana, which I had met the year before and who was reported to do very powerful spiritual ceremonies with his sacred pipe. He emailed me back and said that his pipe 'wanted' to come to the ceremony, and so they came. He said that the night before the ceremony, he also had special dreamtime experiences. I think the Spirits were preparing some of us through the dream state for the upcoming ceremony. The pipe carrier, Jim, had a very special sacred pipe with a great history. It had been used at the United Nations for 7 years, had been smoked by high dignitaries, then sent to Tibet and taken care of for another 7 years, and then it was gifted to Jim. It was a beautiful pipe with 4 wooden carved turtles on it. After Bennie had finished setting up his sacred circle and doing ceremony, the pipe carrier did his ceremony with this very special pipe. Myself and others really felt the 'power' of the pipe. Then Bennie led the group in dancing, singing and drumming ceremony. The weather forecast had been for a high probability of wet weather, but the skies over our ceremonial site were clear blue sky, with clouds just passing over, and no rain. I believe it was because we had asked the Spirits of the land to provide us with protection from the wet weather. At times I would look up and see the sun shining brightly in a circle of blue sky overhead. When the ceremony was almost done, there was about two minutes of a soft, gentle small-size hail event. The pipe carrier said that the elements always let us know if we have done a good ceremony or not. He said to notice that the hail was soft and small, instead of big and hard like normal, and that the wind was soft and gentle, not howling. This was a sign that Mother Earth was pleased with what we did. We finished our prayers and ceremony and cleaned up the site. People felt a wonderful sense of peace and closeness with the land and the Spirits. For the next few days I noticed that my vibrational level was changed and that I was in a different state of consciousness, a very pleasant 'high', which others have since told me they also felt. It was such an honor to of met and done ceremony with Bennie. His visions are of bringing peace to people and the land. Now this area is preparing to participate in the Western states May 13-14 ceremony which Bennie says will bring profound healing for Mother Earth. |
